Professor LO Yuk Ming

Professor LO Yuk Ming is internationally recognized as a pioneer in the field of liquid biopsy, especially in the field of non-invasive prenatal testing. In 1997, he first discovered fetal cell-free DNA in maternal plasma, leading to the development of non-invasive tests for Down syndrome. He successfully applied non-invasive prenatal diagnostic technology from scientific research to clinical diagnosis, revolutionizing the prenatal diagnosis and treatment model in modern obstetrics and gynecology departments. The technology has been applied in over 100 countries, benefiting approximately 10 million pregnant women annually, earning Professor Lu the title of "Father of Non-invasive Prenatal Testing."

Professor Zhang Feng

Professor Zhang Feng is one of the top and most active scientists in the fields of life sciences and medicine, and a pioneer in CRISPR-Cas gene editing technology. In 2013, he successfully applied this technology to gene editing in mammalian and human cells. Over the next decade, he conducted groundbreaking research, applying related technologies and systems to large-scale gene screening and pathogen nucleic acid detection. His research has had a revolutionary impact on life sciences, biomedicine, molecular breeding, molecular detection, and more.
