On the afternoon of April 23, China International Capital Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "CICC") supported the Yunnan Tech Finance Development Symposium at the Tengchong Scientist Forum Center. The meeting aimed to jointly promote the establishment of the Tengchong Scientist Forum Investment Fund, discuss CICC's support for the development of tech finance in Yunnan, and talk about empowering Yunnan's high-quality development through tech finance. CICC Party Secretary, Chairman, and Management Committee Chairman Chen Liang, Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology Party Secretary and Director, and Tengchong Scientist Forum Organizing Committee Office Director Wang Xueqin attended the meeting. Deputy Director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology Song Guangxing presided over the meeting.

Chairman Chen Liang stated that Yunnan is a key region for CICC's business cooperation, with previous successful collaborations in private equity investment, investment banking, asset management, and hosting the Tengchong Scientist Forum. In the future, CICC will continue to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with Yunnan Province in the field of tech investment, striving to achieve more results in the establishment of the Tengchong Scientist Forum Fund and equity investment.

Director Wang Xueqin expressed hope that both parties would deepen their cooperation, intensify efforts in investment project exploration, continuously advance the transformation of forum scientific achievements and investment incubation, and aim to establish the Tengchong Scientist Forum Investment Fund this year. On this basis, they will explore the creation of the Yunnan Provincial Tech Innovation Fund. The Provincial Department of Science and Technology will actively work on the major topic of tech finance, leverage financial tools, and use the platform of the Tengchong Scientist Forum and the Tech Innovation Fund to attract more high-quality projects to settle in Yunnan, serve Yunnan, and assist in Yunnan's tech innovation and industrial upgrading. Finally, Director Wang thanked CICC and CICC Capital for their support of the Tengchong Scientist Forum, and hoped for smooth cooperation and achieving expected results.

At the meeting, Ye Zhiyong, President of Yunnan Provincial Financial Holdings Group, introduced the cooperation with CICC Capital and the direction of future cooperation. Zhu Rui, Director of the Financial Department of Yunnan Provincial Department of Finance, explained the processes, requirements, and relevant policies for the establishment of the fund. Chen Yu, Secretary-General and Director of the Tengchong Scientist Forum Center, introduced the progress of the forum investment fund and the plan for the 2024 Tengchong Scientist Forum. Relevant CICC personnel further discussed industrial investment, capital operations, and the establishment of the forum fund.
