On June 24, the Yunnan Tengchong Scientists Forum Center held a progress meeting for the 2024 Tengchong Scientists Forum in Beijing. Attendees included forum chairman and former Tsinghua University president, Academician Gu Binglin, forum co-chairman and former Peking University president, Academician Xu Zhihong, forum co-chairman and forum center director, former Nankai University president, Academician Rao Zihe, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Department, Wang Xueqin, and nearly 20 leaders and officials from the main and co-hosting units of various sub-forums.

Participants included Wang Hongyang, President of the Chinese Association of Women Scientists, Xie Xin, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Association of Women Scientists, Su Xiaojun, Director of the International Exchange Center of the China Association for Science and Technology, Xu Anlong, member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former president of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Liu Chunming, former dean of the Modern Agriculture College of Peking University, Gu Liangfei, Party Secretary of Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance, Tian Xuan, Vice Dean of Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance and Director of Tsinghua University National Institute of Financial Research, Wang Yu, Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University, Tang Jie, WeBank Chair Professor of the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University and Director of the Basic Model Research Center at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, and organizer of the 2024 Artificial Intelligence Forum, Niu Xiaopeng, Global Partner and President of Strategic Holdings Group at the C.V. Starr Financial Group, Lou Zhiyong, Professor at Tsinghua University School of Medicine, and Wu Jian, Professor at Tsinghua University Department of Physics. They provided valuable suggestions for various forum activities.

Academician Rao Zihe, forum co-chairman and director of the forum center, expressed gratitude for the support from Yunnan Province and the significant assistance from the leaders of the co-hosting units. He believes that with everyone's efforts, this year's forum will be even more successful.
