On July 15, 2024, Ma Minxiang, Vice President of the Yunnan Academy of Science and Technology, led a team to visit Yunnan University. They held a meeting with Vice President Duan Xingwu of Yunnan University to discuss the organization of the 2024 Tengchong Scientists Forum · Young Scientists Forum. Vice President Duan Xingwu and his team listened to a report on the preparations for the 2024 Tengchong Scientists Forum and learned in detail about the progress of various tasks. Both parties focused on discussing the preparatory work for the Young Scientists Forum. During the meeting, Vice President Duan Xingwu expressed that Yunnan University would continue to support the development of the Tengchong Scientists Forum. Together with Nankai University, they would make every effort to successfully organize the 2024 Tengchong Scientists Forum · Young Scientists Forum.

In 2023, Yunnan University hosted the Tengchong Scientists Forum · Young Scientists Forum, where over 100 young scientists, entrepreneurs, and scholars from more than 40 institutions across the country engaged in academic exchanges and idea collisions. The young scientists discussed topics such as biopharmaceutical research and industrialization, and next-generation information technology. The 2024 Tengchong Scientists Forum will be held from December 6 to 8 in Tengchong. The Young Scientists Forum will continue to provide a platform for academic exchanges, idea collisions, and technological cooperation among young scientists from home and abroad. It aims to lead young talents to uphold the mission of scientists and the spirit of science, focus on the growth and development of young scientific talents, and discover and cultivate a group of strategic scientists.
