From August 28th to 30th, Chen Yu, Secretary General and Director of Yunnan Tengchong Scientists Forum Center, and his delegation went to Southeast Asia and visited Thailand's Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (TSRI) and Cambodia's Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) successively.

At the Thailand Science Research and Innovation Agency (TSRI), the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the topics of creating opportunities for the development of science, research and innovation infrastructures through international cooperation and supporting the enhancement of regular cooperation and interconnection between domestic and foreign research institutions. At the meeting, Secretary General Chen Yu introduced the basic information of Tengchong Scientists Forum and the achievements of previous forums, and asked Ms. Orakanoke Phanraksa, Director of International Affairs Division of TSRI, to convey greetings to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand, and invited the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand to attend the 2024 Tengchong Scientists Forum. Ms. Orakanoke Phanraksa said that TSRI would be glad to further expand the field and mode of cooperation with Tengchong Scientists' Forum, give relevant support to the global partners in fund management, and establish a multi-level, multi-channel, and all-round international cooperation pattern.

At the symposium held by the Cambodian Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI), Secretary General Chen Yu introduced the organization of Tengchong Scientists' Forum and extended an invitation to MISTI to attend the 2024 Tengchong Scientists' Forum. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on building a platform for scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, seeking new opportunities and modes of cooperation, and creating opportunities for the development of industry and science and technology in Cambodia through close cooperation with Tengchong Scientists Forum. Mr. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation of Cambodia, mentioned that Cambodia attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with international partners in the field of science and technology, and will provide good governmental relations and infrastructural conditions to support, and welcome Tengchong Scientists Forum to lead domestic high-tech enterprises to visit Cambodia.
