On September 21, 2024, 2024 Tengchong Scientists Forum -Western Yunnan Modern Agricultural Innovative Development and Open-up Cooperation Thematic Activity was opened in Cangyuan, Lincang. Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Xu Zhihong, Fang Jingyun, Xie Daoxin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Liu Zhonghua and other academicians and domestic well-known experts and scholars, provincial and municipal leaders, agronomy, life sciences, international trade and economy, finance and investment and other professional fields of the relevant personnel, entrepreneurs, investors and other representatives of nearly 200 people attended the opening ceremony.

This Thematic Activity focuses on scientific and technological innovation, modern agricultural innovation and development, open cooperation and other topics for discussion and exchange, through cooperation and docking, contributing to a number of academician expert team, a number of high-level technical achievements, a number of high-tech enterprises to land in Lincang, to accelerate the development of modern agriculture with plateau characteristics, speed up opening up to the outside world, open the door to the ocean, accelerate the cultivation and growth of the new quality of the productive forces, and to promote the economic and social development of high quality and sustainable development of Lincang.

At the opening ceremony, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tengchong Scientists Forum co-chairman Xu Zhihong, deputy director of the Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Department, Tengchong Scientists Forum Organizing Committee Office Deputy Director Shang Chaoqiu, Lincang Municipal Party Committee Secretary, Mayor of the People's Government of the Municipal People's Republic of China, Du Jianhui, respectively, delivered a speech.
