On the afternoon of February 27, the first working meeting of the Academic Committee and Advisory Committee of 2025 Tengchong Scientists Forum was held in Beijing. Academician Gu Binglin, Chairman of Tengchong Scientists Forum, Co-Chairman Xu Zhihong, Academician Rao Zihe, and 7 academicians including Fan Daiming, Yang Yuliang, Fang Jingyun, Gao Fu, Zou Zhigang, He Kebin, Ouyang Minggao, and Mr. Ma Weihua participated in the meeting offline; and 2 academicians including He Fuchu, Deng Xiuxin, and Mr. Xu Rongkai participated in the meeting online. The meeting was chaired by Academician Xu Zhihong, Co-Chairman of Tengchong Scientists Forum.
At the meeting, Mr. Chen Yu, Secretary General and Director of Tengchong Scientists' Forum Center, reported on the organization of 2024 Tengchong Scientists' Forum, the recent work arrangement and the work plan for 2025.
After listening to the overall plan of Tengchong Scientists Forum 2025, the members discussed the theme of the forum in 2025 in the light of the hot frontiers in the field of science and technology; adopted the plan of the main forum of Tengchong Scientists Forum 2025, its sub-forums and series of activities; agreed on the formation plan of the professional committee of the forum, which will invite a group of experts to participate in the guiding and planning of the support of sub-forums; and further optimized The selection of Tengchong Science Award 2025 was further optimized; in-depth study and discussion on the preparation of the report on the future vision of science and technology, which will be released at the opening ceremony of Tengchong Scientists Forum 2025.
During the meeting, the participating members fully affirmed the achievements of the previous Tengchong Scientists' Forum, and put forward relevant opinions and suggestions on how to run the 2025 Tengchong Scientists' Forum with high quality. The next step, Tengchong Scientists Forum will be based on the advantages of location, serving the national strategy; optimize the mechanism of organizing the meeting, help local development; innovative mode of organizing the meeting, optimize the experience of participation; strengthen the multi-party“joint”, increase market-oriented cooperation, and other aspects of the ploughing, and continue to work, and strive to build a high-end, international, and distinctive science and technology forum!
