Speech by Li Wuzhou

In the opening address, Li Wuzhou stated that the China International Publishing Group has long been committed to promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and other nations, with the Center for Europe and Africa specifically focusing on in-depth dialogue and cooperation between China and Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In today’s world, scientific and technological exchange has become an integral part of people-to-people exchanges and is increasingly emerging as a cutting-edge area of shared interest between China and France. This matchmaking event today serves as a bridge for practical cooperation that we have built for enterprises from both countries. French enterprises have brought with them advanced expertise and specific requirements in areas such as AI-enabled supply chains, whilst Chinese enterprises will showcase their innovative achievements and practical explorations in vertical applications and industrial ecosystems. Such face-to-face exchanges not only help to deepen mutual understanding but also have the potential to generate tangible cooperation projects.

Speech by Gu Wei

Gu Wei stated that the Tengchong Scientists Forum is an international platform for scientific and technological exchange and cooperation, rooted in China and open to the world. Its mission is to ensure that science and technology lead the way into the future, and to promote the application of cutting-edge technology to better serve a better life. AI is not merely a technological revolution; it is a shared global opportunity and a universal language. Today’s matchmaking session marks the starting point for building trust and exploring mutually beneficial outcomes. Whether it be joint technological R&D, the procurement of commercial solutions, or the joint development of markets, face-to-face exchanges such as today’s are essential to spark innovation. The French delegation has brought with it industrial insights and a willingness to cooperate, whilst Chinese partners will showcase a wealth of application scenarios and innovative vitality – precisely the model of cooperation that the Tengchong Scientists Forum actively advocates and strives to promote.

Speech by Zhang Man

Professor Zhang Man delivered a lecture on the understanding and generation of human motion in the age of AI. She noted that in recent years, the metaverse and digital humans have gained widespread popularity in both academia and industry. Human motion and facial capture and synthesis are core tasks in computer vision and computer graphics, driving the development of various applications such as character creation, 3D character animation, and augmented reality/virtual reality, amongst others. Human motion perception and generation aims to understand and generate natural sequences of human postures; this technology holds immense potential for interactive applications in both virtual and real-world contexts.
